ARC Overview
​ARC is lead by an experienced management team with extensive industry knowledge.
 
Andy ChathaAndy Chatha
President and Founder
Andy has over 30 years experience in enterprise applications and automation as an executive advisor, market analyst, project manager, and software engineer.  Andy provides leadership to the ARC organization and guides its research and client activities.  For over 20 years, Andy has provided advice and consul to many leading manufacturing companies around the world.
 
Prior to starting ARC, Andy was an executive at The Foxboro Company where he was responsible for sales and marketing activities for advanced process automation solutions.  He has also had hands-on experience in the design and implementation of large enterprise and automation systems.   At Westinghouse, Andy managed several very successful automation projects.  Andy started his career in 1970 at General Electric Company of UK as a systems engineer for the design and implementation of large, computer-based, enterprise automation projects.
 
Andy holds an MBA.  His Engineering degrees include a Master of Science and Bachelor Science in Engineering. 
 
Dick HillDick Hill
Vice President & General Manager, Manufacturing Advisory Services
Dick is part of the management team at ARC responsible for developing the strategic direction for ARC products, services, and geographical expansion.  Dick provides leadership for ARC's automation team and clients on a worldwide basis. 
 
Prior to joining ARC, Dick was with Foxboro and Walsh Automation for 17 years and 3 years, respectively.  At Foxboro, Dick's assignments included product marketing management for the company's flagship system, the I/A Series, and related software.  In addition, he has considerable international experience that includes three years in Tokyo as Vice President of Foxboro's joint venture from 1989 through 1991.  Dick is a chemical engineer and has extensive experience in the petroleum industry and advanced systems applications which began with Standard Oil of Ohio and BP Oil, developing and implementing advanced process control applications.
 
Dick is a graduate of Lowell Technological Institute with a BS in Chemical Engineering.
 
Sid SnitkinSid Snitkin
Vice President & General Manager, Enterprise Advisory Services
Sid Snitkin is responsible for managing ARC’s Enterprise Advisory Services Group.  He is a senior member of the ARC staff primarily responsible for developing the strategic direction for ARC’s products and services in the areas of Supply Chain Planning & Scheduling and Service & Asset Management.  He is also the primary analyst at ARC for the Metals Industry.  Sid has over 30 years of experience in automation, information systems, and manufacturing. While the metals industry has been his primary focus, he has also worked in automated warehousing, engineering design, construction and supply chain.  While at ARC, Sid has focused on Simulation, Supply Chain Planning and Scheduling, and Collaborative Manufacturing.
 
Prior to ARC his professional career covered a broad range of engineering, managerial, and senior executive positions with leading electrical and equipment suppliers.  This includes Westinghouse Electric, where he was Engineer-in-Charge for the Metals Department and two major equipment manufacturers who provide turnkey facilities for metals manufacturing where he established and managed Process Automation Divisions.  Sid was also Vice President and General Manager of Danieli United, one of the world’s leading suppliers of rolling mill equipment for the steel and aluminum industries. In addition to directing the engineering, sales, project management and development activities for a broad range of products, Sid instituted an ISO 9000 program across the company's many departments.
 
Sid holds a B.S. and M.S. in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University, and an M.B.A. and Ph.D. in Operations Research and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Pittsburgh.
 
John WasonJohn Wason
Vice President, Strategic Consulting Services
John is a member of ARC's management team responsible for developing the strategic direction for ARC products and services.  His focus is client advisory and benchmarking as well as merger and acquisition services.  He has over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing automation industry in many different management capacities.
 
Before joining ARC, John spent five years as Vice President of Sales at NemaSoft/Intec Controls, a PC-based process control software company in Walpole, MA. Prior to that, John spent twenty years at The Foxboro Company in Foxboro, MA.  During that time, his positions included VAR/SI Channel Manager, Strategic Alliance & Contractor Program Manager, General Manager of Saudi Joint Venture Services Company, and Product Line Manager.  John began his career as a Process Engineer and Production Manager at Pfizer before joining Foxboro.
 
John holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and has completed post graduate MBA work focused in International Marketing.
 
Uwe GrundmannUwe Grundmann
General Manager, Europe
Uwe is responsible for managing ARC’s operations in Germany and Europe. He has over 20 years experience in the manufacturing industry with deep knowledge in automation and enterprise applications. He established the ARC Advisory Group in Europe.
 
Before joining ARC, Uwe was head of the Software Marketing and Sales team at Rockwell Automation in Gruiten, Germany. His responsibilities included strategic development of new product based businesses. With his outstanding market knowledge he established new successful business fields within the German sales operation and opened new channels for product and system sales. He was an active member of the OPC European Steering Committee and helped the OPC foundation to perform their tasks.
 
Uwe has published numerous articles in technical publications and presented papers at a number of conferences. He holds a degree from the Ruhr Universität Bochum in Germany.
 
Shuji AbeShuji Abe
General Manager, Asia
Shuji Abe is Vice President and General Manager of ARC Japan. He is responsible for sales and support of ARC's many Japanese and Southeast Asian client companies.
 
Mr. Abe has over 30 years of experience directly in the automation market. Abe-san comes to ARC after 7 years with Foxboro. There he served as Project Manager of domestic and overseas projects for I/A Series systems and Sales Manager for Field Instruments and DCS systems in Japan and Southeast Asia.
Prior to Foxboro he worked at Chino Corporation. While there, Abe-san worked on design of recorders and controllers, design of FA systems and DCS, and was Division Manager of the FA Division.
 
Abe-san has a BS in Electronic & Measurement & Control.
 
A. V. RajabahadurA.V. Rajabahadur
General Manager, India
Raja is responsible for managing ARC’s operations in India.  He has over 30 years of systems and application engineering, project management, and solution marketing experience in the field of control and automation systems.  Raja has extensive, hands-on experience in the design, procurement, detailed engineering, project management, documentation, erection, commissioning, and maintenance of control and instrumentation packages.
 
Before joining ARC, Raja held concurrent positions of Business Development and Project Manager for Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions and Marketing Manager of Power Generation for Honeywell Asia Pacific. Prior to that he was a Business Development Advisor to Thermax Ltd. in India.  Raja began his career at Instrumentation Ltd in India where he held positions from Design Engineer of Power Plants and Senior Engineer of Systems Engineering to Regional Manager of South India.  He followed that with General Manager positions at Electronics Trade & Development Corp., Electronics Corporation of India, and Bells Controls.
 
Raja's accomplishments as a consultant cover a broad spectrum.  These include formulating a five-year corporate business plan for a $100 million Indian company, establishing and directing an Application Engineering Division for the Indian affiliate of a multinational Control Instrumentation & Systems company, and restructuring the Electronics Division of a large Indian company to achieve complete turn-around and secure a strategic alliance partner.
 
Raja is a member of several national committees focusing on industry technology and control and is the author of numerous papers. He holds an M.Sc. in Science from Mysore University in India.
